Description

Participants deal intensively with the individual profession If there is also the possibility of completing an internship abroad during the training period, there is a high probability that the future trainees will decide on such a profession.

One of the challenges in international vocational training would now be to create the same conditions. In addition, there would be the dismantling of bureaucratic hurdles, with which the Erasmus program could help. Resources could be used jointly. During training and further education, the cooperation could consist of exchanging or jointly using the most modern machines and systems, or experiences already made in the respective professional groups.

It leads to a reduction in challenges when everyone "reinvents the wheel for themselves". There could be a jointly developed curricula, practical training that corresponds to the modern job market. In addition, further training is becoming mandatory and foreign assignments in particular should be used for this. It is particularly important to communicate with each other (whether nationally or internationally). In this case, the experts of the respective training courses, and trainers. In this way, joint partnerships are created that are conducive to a joint professional and labour market initiative. In this way, the individual countries could react quickly to bottlenecks. A certain degree of openness is also part of a relationship of trust in the professional sphere. This is how alliances are created not only nationally (vocational training institutions, employment agencies and employers) but also on an international level.

Content
Exercises and activities

Vocational training providers could agree on certain key data for the respective training occupation at international level, the most important contents include:

  • Training times (school and practical)
  • International internships, e.g., a section of the last year of apprenticeship
  • Content that could easily be implemented internationally, e.g. the designation of the training occupation, duration Examination content or training content
  • Skills

The vocational training providers would know exactly what requirements / prerequisites they need in order to be able to carry out training. It would make sense to cooperate with existing companies in one area in order to be able to offer all-encompassing training. Joint use of machines and systems that have been purchased, which trainees/workers can use in a targeted manner at no additional cost.

In addition to the material, the companies/facilities could also use the trainers in a variety of ways. Because not every company has the same equipment.

Close cooperation would also be helpful for conducting exams.

An example of compiling the content of an apprenticeship that could function on an international basis should include the following points: learning areas learning goals 4-step model:

  • Explain Listening
  • Pretend watching
  • Correct imitation
  • Rate Practice

If all participants use the same model, a planned international internship in training would be possible and useful. A targeted exchange could also take place in each apprenticeship year. In addition, there are the academic aspects. Within the framework of Erasmus+, these internships or further training courses could be specifically promoted and supported. A shortened application, quick processing or longer-term planned activities within the framework of joint training would help. Simple international deployment of those trained in this way in key occupations would be less complicated.

Each country can now set priorities for itself.

These traits, skills and abilities can be applied to many professions. Of course, every country has different priorities, but those that are the same should be applied in a standardised way.

Another focus would be cooperation between companies and institutions both nationally and internationally. If the respective institutions such as the employment agency or job centres were involved, this would result in considerable potential for overarching cooperation. For this purpose, those responsible should look for common ground and communicate. In this way, bottlenecks relevant to the labour market could be eliminated quickly and unbureaucratically. The assignment of employers could also be regulated via Erasmus+. At the same time, employees/trainees who have successfully completed a longer assignment should report on their experiences and newly acquired skills and abilities.

Practical work content

Through the practical work in the respective company departments, insights can be gained into the individual professions. This should be structured in such a way that all participants have approximately the same prerequisites. (internationally). This is the only way to really get to know a profession/job/training. They should be encouraged to learn and to pass on these experiences to other trainees.
